We are delighted to share with you some amazing pictures from a recent photoshoot from some of our registered supplier on our Hampshire site, site back, get a cuppa and take a look at this amazing Rustic Theme in Yellow.
The sun came out as seven Hampshire based businesses met at Titchfield Barn to set up for what we envisaged to be an amazing wedding photoshoot. The results surpassed our expectations!
Cheryl of Eliza Mabel opened the barn and marked out the pre-planned set locations. One by one we each arrived to set up. Hana of Hayling Studio Photography prepped her cameras, Allison of Queen Bees laid out yummy items whilst dressing the scenes were Eliza of Quaint and Quirky Event Hire and Suzy of Rosie Loves Vintage. Emily of Baylily Bell Tents installed a tent which was readily filled by Eliza Mabel bridesmaids and Sally of Bridal Flowers Direct brought flowers to die for.
Our aim of working collaboratively was to show brides the venue and what could be realised in this or any similar location. We chose to use yellow as our colour theme with a rustic style and had clear set locations: a dining area; a sweet table; a bell tent with outside play area; a picnic; a cake table; a top table and back drop setting.
Eliza Mabel – Cheryl
Asking Cheryl about the shoot this is what she had to say “With a charming rustic yellow theme for this shoot, I had a difficult time deciding on what style of dresses to choose for the girls, that kept it modern but pretty. Firstly, I went with Fleur for the young flower girls which always look so pretty on. Beautiful diamante detail on the tulle skirts, adorned with lovely bright yellow sashes to complement all the adorable yellow flowers. Then for the slightly older bridesmaid I chose our new design Trudy, this is a simple, neutral colour dress with a lovely lemon ribbon band that is finished with a gorgeous diamante brooch. These divine dresses are ideal if you want to add a small splash of colour.
However, if you want to be bold with colour then I achieved this with our exquisite yellow dress ‘Cadence’ through its stunning lace overlay and satin pleated finish this will certainly make your bridesmaids stand out.”
Hayling Studio Photography – Hana
“After months of planning this shoot it was so amazing to see it all come together! The areas the other ladies had set up for me to photograph were stunning and right up my street, vintage, handmade and pastel colours!”
“Being a wedding photographer, weddings really are my passion, although photographing children is a close second! Little bridesmaids are one of my favourite things to photograph at weddings; their giggles and little whispers between themselves, they are always a joy to photograph on the day. This made photographing the younger models, all dressed up and having the time of their lives at the shoot, drinking lemonade and scoffing cakes, a really enjoyable aspect of the day. Whoever said never work with animals or children was definitely half wrong!”
“I had worked with a lot of the suppliers before, whether at weddings or for their own product shoots, so the team work on the day was amazing. They are all ladies I have and will carry on recommending to my brides and look forward to seeing their work at many more weddings I photograph!”
Baylily Bell Tents – Emily
Emily said “It was so nice to be a part of this shoot to show that Bell Tents don’t just have to be for the festival bride but can be used at multiple types of venue from open fields to country manor houses. The children’s play tent that we set up at Titchfield is a great option to keep little ones entertained throughout the day, especially when things like speeches are happening. We can supply both fully dressed tents with low tables, games and soft play or alternatively you can hire the empty tent for you to decorate the way you want it.
There is no end to the amount of options you have with a bell tent be it for the kids, an adult chill out area, guest sleeping tent or somewhere for afternoon tea. With two tent sizes [both 5m and 7m] the possibilities are endless!”
Quaint and Quirky Event Hire – Eliza
“Quaint and Quirky love to offer something a bit different and on trend for wedding décor. We aim to produce products that are alternative but beautiful and affordable.” Said Eliza.
“We loved the lemon and daisy theme and were inspired by the rustic setting. Our fabric and ribbon backdrop really set off the table settings and would look beautiful behind a top table. We provided matching bunting and a ribbon chandelier which are prefect for a rustic barn setting. The ribbon chandelier looked beautiful blowing in the breeze and can be produced with lights for added twinkle when your evening guests arrive. We aim to add the wow factor to any venue. By offering both DIY and venue decorating service we can cater for a range of budgets.”
Queen Bees – Allison
“Queen Bees supplied quite a few items for this shoot, as we offer more than one service to help brides on their wedding day. Sweets; Cakes; Macarons; Meringues; Crockery and Bespoke Jam Jar drinking glasses were all set up by me” said Allison.
“Knowing that Suzie was supplying her Vintage Buffet Table to host my sweets meant having to think about what would look good to compliment her table. I took the decision to use white sweets as well as yellow as to not overpower the table and give brides the idea that you don’t have to stick to a single colour. This also meant that our Chocolate Flower lollies could make their photographic debut. These are good for favours or part of the Sweet Table.
The rustic cake table still amazes me as to how beautiful this looked. The naked cake shows off our bespoke heart macarons, and the lemon yellow meringue kisses looked scrumptious if I say so myself. All these items can be made in any colour and flavour combination to match whatever scheme you desire”
Rosie Loves Vintage – Suzy
“With the vintage theme so on trend” Suzy said “I was delighted to supply a range of vintage props for the photoshoot as part of a local collaborative. Titchfield barn is a beautiful location and lent itself perfectly to the props I chose specifically for the day.”
Larger items included my pink patisserie buffet table which was adorned with beautiful sweet treats on the day, a rustic pine table and shabby chic chairs to display vintage crockery with old linens. The vibrant colours and floral fabrics worked well with the rustic backdrop of the barn and local countryside.
With brides looking for something unique, repurposing old crates as tables and using suitcases as themed props, allows brides to create their own setting and use props in their own way. On the day, these items were photographed to give inspiration and insight into the scene that can be set with some imagination.
Working as a collaborative, with different suppliers and a range of services, showcased how effective and ultimately, individual, a wedding can be.”
Bridal Flowers Direct –Sally
Sally of Bridal Flowers Direct said “We were delighted to supply all the flowers for this photoshoot. Keeping with Cheryl’s brief in which she described the theme of the event as ‘Rustic, Spring, French style’ we made a selection of bouquets and table arrangements in shades of yellow, cream and white. By combining Spray Roses, Stocks, Tanacetum Daisies, Craspedia and Gypsophila with lovely silver grey Eucalyptus leaves we were able to create arrangements which truly reflected the theme of the photoshoot whilst complimenting the beautiful Eliza Mabel dresses and the rustic setting of the Barn. We supplied the bicycle props which looked stunning decorated with a selection of the same flowers as did all our vintage style bottles which when filled with flowers are always perfect for events at a setting such as this. We always love to take time to discuss with Brides the overall theme of their wedding to ensure that the flowers truly reflect every aspect of what is the most special day of their life.”
