Purple remains one the most popular colours for the modern wedding so some of our registered suppliers from Hampshire Wedding Supplier and West Sussex Wedding Supplier got together to produce an amazing photoshoot with some great ideas and inspiration for you. If you are looking for other ideas remember to pop over and check out the purple section on our gallery site too.
Tournerbury Estate is a unique location for a marquee wedding situated in the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Hampshire / West Sussex county border.
With 50 acres of private woodland, on a peaceful tidal creek in one of England’s most beautiful natural harbours, it offers you seclusion and privacy. As a group of wedding suppliers we aim to show you this stunning venue and what could be realised here or at any similar location. Using shades purple as our colour theme with a woodland style you can use these images as inspiration as to how you can personalise your day to your own style.
The bridesmaid dresses are modern but pretty. The youngest bridesmaid/flower girl wears both a dress with a lovely lilac bodice and soft lace overlay and wired netted skirt and ‘fleur’ which has beautiful diamante detail on the tulle skirts, adorned with a beautiful dark purple sash to complement all the adorable purple flowers. Our younger bridesmaid wears a full lace overlay dress and satin pleated sash in a gorgeous grape colour that looked stunning in the woods. Whilst the older bridesmaid wore a dress, shorter in length with matching coloured lace overlay showing that mixed aged girls can look co-ordinated and individual at the same time.
Outside a fabric and ribbon backdrop attractively blowing in the breeze within the trees, signs, decorated seated areas created different areas for your guests without the venue having rooms. Bird cages, strung up jam jar lights and pom poms all created interesting nooks of detail bringing the outside and inside of the venue together, keeping your theme running throughout this unique venue.
Three table designs using high floral, low floral and wooden centre pieces provide alternative ideas about how to style your marquee wedding. These designs are formal, relaxed and rustic, each matching perfectly with the lavender inspired stationery and ladder table plan.
Large Hyadrangeas and willow urns make stunning entrance displays and add colour to the table plan display. Soft country garden flowers were chosen to give that ‘just picked’ look which works perfectly with this type of venue.
Macarons, meringues and chocolate lollies made in purple tones, provided sweet elements as favours both formally boxed/wrapped and also loose on a table centrepiece. They can also be part of a picnic tea/outside dining area using vintage crockery and glassware.
