Today we have a guest post from Cheryl of Eliza Mabel who has sent in details of an Autumn photoshoot in Hampshire.
Langrish House in Hampshire was the location for our Winter Wonderland photoshoot. Blues, white, silver and dusky pinks are not a normal winter colour theme but that’s what made it stunning, interesting and inspirational. As a group of wedding suppliers we aim to show you what could be realised here or at any similar location when holding a wedding in the winter months.
The young Flower Girls wear Eliza Mabel’s lovely ‘Sabrina’ dress. Its adorable lace overlay paired with a white fur wrap just helped to finish it off. The older bridesmaid looked stunning in the beautiful ‘Cheryl’ design matched with an exquisite feather bolero which looked striking alongside the colour of the dress.
A ‘Lusan Mandongus’ full lace wedding gown (which holds a real classic antique quality) was chosen to create a romantic and feminine feel. With its beautiful layers of lace that glisten with antique beads and embellishment this gown was paired with an embellished floral sash and a champagne antique Minnelli fur stole.
Bouquets, head dresses and table arrangements were created in shades of mink, white and silver. By combining beautiful Avalanche and Menta Roses, Lisianthus, Astilbe, Eryngium, Gypsophila, Snowberries and Waxflower with the silvery tones found in Senecio, Silver Brunia and Frosted Oak Leaves arrangements were created which added to the wintery feel of the occasion. The Menta ‘Rose’ based Bridal head dress looked stunning and complemented the bridal bouquets and wedding dresses beautifully.
Winter wonderland invokes images of snowflakes, frost and chilly blue skies, so translating this into makeup meant that midnight and cobalt blues teamed with soft whites with a hint of shimmer were the chosen eye shadow shades. Then combining this with warm red for the lip and cheek to emphasise the ‘just swept in from the cold’ look.
A macaron wedding cake was the inspiration for all of the sweet treat products for this wedding. The sweet table centrepiece wedding cake was adored with macarons in blues, white, silver and dusky pink, which are not necessarily obvious food colours. In addition free standing macarons in shades of silver grey with white accents formed part of the sweet table.
Beautiful flower girl dresses from Eliza Mabel were a lovely simple style yet looked beautiful with the bridal dress with their lace overlay, which looked so elegant against the stunning blue and silver dress for our older bridesmaid. Combined with stylish faux fur and feather boleros to bring the winter theme together.
The handmade one off jewellery pieces were inspired by ‘winter fantasy’, ‘frosting’, ‘shimmering pastels’, ‘soft dusty tones’, ‘sparkle’ which led to a bespoke collection including a new style bridal comb; tiaras; a feather fascinator and necklaces being created and worn.
The outside area and the inside rooms were all decorated to shimmer and sparkle. Glistening jars, bauble decorated wreaths, lights and material backdrops complemented both the venue, dresses and accessories.
